Enhanced CCW - Handgun
Service Description
This course meets the Montana Requirements for the Enhanced CCW Permit per MCA 45-8-312(5)(d). The course will cover Montana Laws related to firearms and the lawful use of force, basic concepts of safe and responsible use of handguns, firearms handling (with replica firearms), proper target acquisition, handgun and ammunition selection, as well as safety concerns. This course will include the approved live fire exercises at ranges from 3 yards to 25 yards. In addition, the exercises will incorporate shooting from the hip, failure drills, move and shoot, shooting from barricades, clearing a jam, shoot-don’t shoot, and reloads during engagement. 108 rounds are required for this course with a minimum score of 80% to pass. This course is approximately 6 to 8 hours in length depending on the number of participants. Please note that unlike other local training programs, we utilize a MILO Range Video Scenario Simulator. The simulator allows us to put you through various shoot / don't shoot scenarios which will test your decision making, skills, and ability at engaging active targets in real life situations. We utilize simulated Glock 17 and M4 firearms for the scenarios. We will make every effort to incorporate the scenario training as part of the class. However, certain locations do not provide adequate space for the simulator. PLEASE CONTACT US TO BOOK A CLASS OR IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS. CLASSES ARE TYPICALLY HELD ON FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS. NOTE: OUR TRAINERS ARE CERTIFIED FIREARMS INSTRUCTORS THROUGH THE CALIFORNIA PEACE OFFICER STANDARDS AND TRAINING (P.O.S.T.), NRA, AND THE STATE OF MONTANA.
